Freedom of Speech...When Convenient.

Hilarious straight news storyabout the White House's playbook for dealing with dissent-spewing protesters. I wish this was fake news on The Onion. Alas, it's all too real. (Let me also add that I know every candidate/prez probably has a similar playbook. But i bet they are not as funny as this one.)

Not that I don't think it is possible... I certainly do...but I would take whatever I read about Bush from the Washington Pest...opps my bad...with a boulder of salt. And don't you think for a moment that ALL politicians past and present including Billary don't have the same playbook....in fact it is probably a hand-me-down.

And just a side note...it is kind of ironic...dontjathink... that a person grumbling about the freedom of protesters has a "comments only posted after blog owner approval" screen on his blog....

  3. No doubt that all have the gameplan. And the irony is not lost regarding the comment approval; but this is a dictatorship. Like my post's title said "...when convenient"

  4. Also, while the Washington Post does lean left, I found no mention of Bush's Vietnam comparison on the homepage of Fox News. It was two-thirds deep in the al-Maliki story that was lined to the homepage. So, the grains of salt cut both ways.

Can we agree that some of things in the playbook don't seem to fit "american values"(for lack of a better term) regardless of who the president is?

I would love you to be able to get 10 strangers to agree what "American Values" are anymore. You will find out once your children are in public schools that there is no such thing being taught for fear of offending someone....even though as far as I can tell the first ammendment protects our right to offend....it affords nobody the right from exposure to offense. And every modern president has always managed the crowds at their apprearances. Kennedy was the master at that...his father was the original advance man. And because of his assassination now security must be an added major concern. Remember Squeaky Fromme??
